Top Speeds on Curves

The following speed limits apply on bends:

• Widest curve: 101 mph or 162 km/h
• Medium curve: 60 mph or 96 km/h
• Narrow curve: 41 mph or 65 km/h
• S-bend: 60 mph or 96 km/h

Note that the Advanced Passenger Train has faster restrictions, due to its tilting ability:

• Widest curve: 126 mph or 201 km/h
• Medium curve: 75 mph or 120 km/h
• Narrow curve: 51 mph or 81 km/h
• S-bend: 70 mph or 112 km/h

Bridge Types

This is the only bridge that can slope up and down. It can also turn corners.
